Mentoring

“Everyone then who hears these words of mine and does them will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock. And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house, but it did not fall, because it had been founded on the rock.

And everyone who hears these words of mine and does not do them will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand. And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell, and great was the fall of it.”

Matthew 7:24–27

Leadership

Rock Solid

Leadership has to be taken over every area of your life. I like to compare people with trees: it’s impossible for one branch to blossom while another is dying. The tree fully blossoms or it doesn’t. The branches represent the roles you have, your role as a leader – partner - parent. All are connected. When your company is thriving but your marriage - health - friendships - family- community is dying, you cannot blossom. When you don’t blossom, your company won’t blossom. The impact of one dying branch is invisible and untouchable but undeniable.

In the process of rebuilding your fundation it is crucial - as a very first step - to start the process of growing in self-knowledge: knowing who you are and how you think. Having self-knowledge is stated as one of the most important skills a great leader should possess. Studies show that most people believe they are self-aware. But it’s a rare quality, even in leaders. The growth in self-knowledge will automatically enable you to start (re)building your foundation, with a new level of understanding.

I help Executives Leaders of corporate companies (re)build their foundation: the roots of their tree. By building a strong and perfect foundation you enable the tree to fully blossom again. You built something steady, no storm will ever ruin.

Rock Solid Leadership is built on four pillars:

  1. Love

  2. Respect

  3. Honesty

  4. Truth

What Clients Say

"Thank you for pushing me, for pushing my boundaries. You were a guide and a huge help. Thank you for helping me to open up. I didn't know I needed it, but it freed me and it made a huge impact. At the beginning I felt overwhelmed and I could't make time to reflect, knowing the importance of reflecting, I am now able to reflect with ease and happy to make time for it."

The Four Pillars

Rock Solid Leadership is built upon four pillars:

Love

"Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs." Together we translate these words into your (concrete) leadership approach.

Respect
"Honor those in authority." Respect is a two way street. It is about you honoring those who are in authority over you. At the same time it is about being respected. I believe this last part is a huge challenge in today's society and business and one of the causes of 'bad' leadership. I pay lots of attention to this crucial topic, mainly with male leaders I work with.

Honesty

Being honest is nothing but liberating. I encourage you to practice speaking the truth at home and in the office - while also applying love and respect at the same time.

Truth

"The truth will set you free." Want to know where the wisdom of King Salomon, the perseverance of Martin Luther King and the patience of Nelson Mandela came from? Let's meet, I will tell you all about it!

The Process

The process of becoming a Rock Solid Leader isn't lineair. Together we (re)build your foundation as solid as a rock. We explore what is needed to build up, most often it requires to break several things down first: beliefs - assumptions - behaviour. Being able to do this we start the process to grow in self-knowledge, which is a continous process.

I challenge you to take complete ownership over the topics and challenges that come to surface. Together we explore what is needed to move on. Forgiveness is an important part in my approach. Forgiveness makes you a free man : "Forgive and you will be forgiven." We build your foundation on the four pillars and we translate these into your (personal and professional) leadership.

You are a unique one of a kind - I therefore only offer custom-made programs. During our first call I mainly ask questions to well understand you and the challenge you face. The period of time we work together varies between a few hours and six months.

I imagine you have some questions, please book an exploration call to ask them all.

More About Me

The key elements I work with: knowing who you are and how you think are (of course) also the foundation for my leadership and business. Understanding who I am took me about 37 years. It was in the summer of 2022 when I found to answer to the question I have been asking myself for about thirty years: “who am I?” On a very hot summer day God found me and I decided to give my heart and life to Him, the one who gave me my life and purpose. It has been a journey of unlearning what I knew about a religious God towards getting to know the loving Father He is. I felt I had built my entire life on sand until the day He walked into my life. My dying branches are blossoming again and I experience an unexplainable amount of peace and trust, no matter the storms I go through.

My journey has changed me (a lot) and I had to rebuild my business as well. It's now well established on my Rock. I feel confident to promise that I have your back when we work together, knowing He has got mine.

Rock Solid Leadership is built on the Rock of Ages. This doesn't mean we cannot work together if you don't believe or you have a different belief, on the contrary! Only if you are open for it we integrate it in our collaboration.

Are you curious?

Ps. I am well aware that if you have a religious background you might experience lots of triggering thoughts at the moment. Feel free to plan a call and ask your questions. I am happy to answer all of them.
